A new resource in healthcare

Total Life Concept was conceptualized by Dr. Soma Grotefend, a primary care physician, and Chris Grotefend, a fitness professional, in 2018. With over 30 years of experience in their respective fields they came together to boil down what it really takes for one to be healthy, vibrant and build resilience.

We believe that in order for our society to truly improve their health, we need to offer preventative and effective options when it comes to healthcare. Our system currently operates on a disease management framework and we notice how many people feel frustrated by this, patients and practitioners alike. That's why we want to offer resources that support healthy lifestyle change. A place where people can get expert guidance on what to do, how to do it and support in implementing it.

Our team is made up of a physician with a background in biochemistry, a personal trainer with 30 years of experience, and a health coach ready to facilitate behavior change. Additionally, we are meditation teachers or practitioners which not only allows us to share mindfulness with you, but also supports the way we show up with our participants. We work together to guide you on a journey to optimal health all while giving you the tools and support to do so.


Food, focus and fitness are the three main pillars of wellness. While there are many factors that go into a healthy mind and body, these three things are what create the foundation. Similar to a foundation of a house, you need all the necessary parts to create a stable home that will last for a long time. Without even one of these parts, your home will crumble to the ground.
